Equity crowdfunding platform, VentureFounders, is offering an aspiring entrepreneur the opportunity to receive a money-can’t-buy ‘business clinic’ mentoring session with one of its senior advisors: ex-Dyson CEO, Martin McCourt. The winner will also receive a coaching session with VentureFounders MD, James Codling, as well as a £250 cash prize.
The competition calls for entrepreneurs to pitch their ideas to Martin and VentureFounders via either a 500-word written pitch, a 2-minute video or an infographic.
Entries will be shortlisted and invited to an elevator pitch in front of a judging panel. The winning pitch will be invited to meet with Martin and James on a pre-arranged date in London. Entries should be submitted via http://bit.ly/1SmydlG. The closing date for entries is 9th August 2015. Full details, including terms and conditions can be found at http://www.venturefounders.co.uk/business-clinic-competition.
Talking about the competition, James Codling, MD VentureFounders comments, “At VentureFounders, we strive for excellence in all that we do. We wanted to run this competition to find the best early-stage entrepreneurs and offer them a high calibre prize that will help them to make their business a success.”
Martin McCourt has a wealth of experience and knowledge that would be invaluable to an early-stage business. Martin has over 35 years of experience working at the heart of British-based manufacturing, design and marketing for quality brands such as Dyson, Mars, Duracell, Toshiba and Pelikan. Martin was the CEO of Dyson for 15 years, where he established Dyson subsidiaries across the globe (taking the company to more than 50 markets), increased UK skilled jobs, grew profits tenfold and enabled James Dyson to keep inventing.
